Ceramic Feathers and Nest
2017
Acrylic, Clay, Paper Clay, String
20" x 20"
Ceramic feathers adhered using flexible glue and string sewn through holes in the feathers. Nest made up of found sticks dipped in paper clay slip and fired to burn the stick and leave the shell of delicate clay. Glazed and fired to cone 6.

Conglomerate

Hand cut and formed by slapping each tile on the table, curved edges, painted with bright red commercial underglaze and clear glazed. Fired to Cone 04. Tiles mounted on plywood painted with acrylic paint.
